Bankruptcy will not wipe out:
- Money owed for child support or alimony, fines, and recent or unfiled taxes, and debts created by fraud or willful and malicious injury.
- Student loans owed to a school or government body, or IRS-Qualified private student loans, except if the court decides that payment would be an undue hardship (after an expensive trial).
- Debts not listed in your bankruptcy filings.
- Mortgages and other liens which are not paid in the bankruptcy case, although bankruptcy will wipe out your obligation to pay any additional money if the property is taken by a creditor.
